Requirements for Religious Education at St. Mary Queen of Angels:
1) Complete and turn in required enrollment forms (Registration Form, Medical Form) along with tuition*
- Tuition fee at St. Mary's is $75 for one child, $100 for two or more. Please make checks payable to "St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church"
- *Please do not let finances hinder you from enrolling your family in our program. We will happily cover any cost to help families grow in their faith during this difficult economic climate.
2) Good attendance for enrolled children in Sunday morning religious education (CCD Schedule)
- Children must participate in religious education and consent to all diocesan policy regarding behavior.
- Families with weekend custody issues are encouraged to bring their child when they are able and attend Family Formation (see #3). Material and additional support to help foster strong Catholic formation will be provided. Please notify Joe Philip and your child's teacher as soon as possible for more information.
- If your child has missed a sacrament, or has not attended religious education the previous year, please notify Joe Philip and your child's teacher. We will offer a special sacraments class in addition to their regular class for a period of time to help them stay current with their grade level.
3) Parent Participation in Religious Formation
- Parents will be asked to read and sign the following:
- "Parents are the primary educators of their children. Catechists are called to be in partnership with parents. Guided by Scripture and Tradition, we bear witness to all the children entrusted to our care, so they may become faith-filled and morally responsible members of the Catholic Church in the world. "
I understand that I am called to be the Primary Catechist in the faith formation of my children and that the religious education offered at St. Mary's supplements and support the lived faith that must be fostered within the family. I am also aware that for secondary Catechists (volunteer teachers) to accomplish their mission, I am required, among other things, to read monthly newsletters, reinforce lessons, work on helping my child to understand and memorize prayers, and continue to make Mass and religious education attendance a visible priority. I understand that these factors are essential in my consent and enrollment my child in Religious Education.

"Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ."
(Jn 17:3)
St. Mary's, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, strives to bring parents and children of the parish into a deep, personal communion with Christ and His Church, and to foster in them a missionary zeal for souls by:
- Proclaiming the Word of God and His loving plan of salvation as expressed in Holy Scripture and the Sacred Tradition of the Catholic Church

- Acknowledging every person as a child of God, uniquely created by the Father in His image and likeness
- Teaching the Person of Jesus Christ, the source and summit of all life, through whom we are granted our salvation
- Equipping children so that they may engage the world with the full ‘rigor and vigor’ of the Catholic faith
- Prepare the children for the Sacraments of Penance, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and for a lifetime devotion to God
- For more information- click here
"The definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ."
(Catechesi Tradendae)
